Flu is no fun

The weather changing every hour on the hour and a persistent flu has made me miserable for weeks. You say, what makes that different than any other Monday? The cough makes it different.

My sports weekend was okay. Dale Jr lost but the Celtics were on TV and they beat up on the Suns even without Kevin Garnett. I didn’t see any women’s tennis or golf but I read Trump’s new Celebrity Apprentice will have Natalie Gulbis.

Natalie in a business suit should be a good look. Maybe not like her in a swim suit  or golf skirt but I think it will be worth watching. There are a couple other women on there that will be fun to see.  One is Playboy Playmate Brande Roderick and another is one of Howie Mandel’s girls on Deal or No Deal – Claudia Jordan. She holds the number one on Howie’s show and used to be a Barker Beauty.
You have to hand it to Trump he knows what gets people to watch.

Blogging is not as easy as it looks.

Blogging is not as easy as it looks. In all reality it is much easier than it looks. All there is to it is grabbing a keyboard and tapping away.

When I first began blogging it wasn’t popularly called blogging yet. So I learned to blog like caveman learned to cook food. By mistake. I would try to write something funny and on the days I couldn’t I would just write random thoughts. Mostly about the avoidance of work.

The part I never foresaw was; by writing about the avoidance of work I created work. I became a blogger. From a blogger I have become a magazine contributor (you can find my latest article on finditquick.com or in their print magazine). The latest work I have created is script writing.

Yes it is true, I am writing a screenplay. A friend has a great idea for a movie and she thought, after reading my nonsense, and drinking a few tequilas that I could write dialogue. It turns out she was right!

Her good idea is quickly becoming a hilarious movie about………………you actually thought I was going to tell you? I will when it is finished and the script is safely registered with the Writer’s Guild. Until then I can say it will be the perhaps the funniest movie ever written.

If not - at least it will make my dream come true.

Less work!

Not a bad weekend

Dale Jr didn’t win the Daytona 500 but he showed flashes of his father and that made me happy.

Natalie Gulbis and our favorite, Paula Creamer, were playing golf again. They didn’t win but anytime they play it makes us happy.

The Outback Steakhouse had “call ahead seating” on Valentines Day and that made me happy.
West Virginia spanked Villanova in basketball Friday night and that made me happy.
Of course all this happiness on a Monday may be due to it being a holiday so beware of Tuesday’s blog but as far as right now I am very happy.

Savoring win, Obama celebrates `major milestone’

The legislation, among the costliest ever considered in Congress, provides billions of dollars to aid victims of the recession through unemployment benefits, food stamps, medical care, job retraining and more. Tens of billions are ticketed for the states to offset cuts they might otherwise have to make in aid to schools and local governments, and there is more than $48 billion for transportation projects such as road and bridge construction, mass transit and high-speed rail.
Democrats said the bill’s tax cuts would help 95 percent of all Americans, much of the relief in the form of a break of $400 for individuals and $800 for couples. At the insistence of the White House, people who do not earn enough money to owe income taxes are eligible, an attempt to offset the payroll taxes they pay.
In a bow to political reality, lawmakers included $70 billion to shelter upper middle-class and wealthier taxpayers from an income tax increase that would otherwise hit them, a provision that the nonpartisan Congressional Budget Office said would do relatively little to create jobs.

Microsoft announces $250,000 Conflicker worm bounty – Network World

The spreading Conflicker/Downadup worm is now viewed as such a significant threat that it’s inspired the formation of a posse to stop it, with Microsoft leading the charge by offering a $250,000 reward to bring the Conflicker malware bad guys to justice.
The money will be paid for “information that results in the arrest and conviction of those responsible for illegally launching the Conflicker malicious code on the Internet,” Microsoft said today in a statement, adding it is fostering a partnership with Internet registries and DNS providers such as ICANN, ORG, and NeuStar as well as security vendors Symantec and Arbor Networks, among others, to stop the Conflicker worm once and for all.

CSI – Miami

CSI – Miami had Puff Diggity Daddy Combs playing an attorney last Monday. Did anyone else see this show? It was about as believe able as LeBron James playing one of Snow White’s dwarfs. It may have been the worst casting I have ever seen.

There as got to be 1000′s of unemployed actors in Hollywood and we have the producers of this show allowing Combs to pretend he can act? I have seen better acting in grade school Christmas plays.

He mispronounced words, his timing was terrible, it was nothing short of painful to watch.

What’s next?

George Bush as a linguist?

American Idol

I had a nightmare last night that Simon Cowell let those other dolt judges put through Nick/Norman and Tatianna.

I really have to quit eating spicy foods late at night!

Friday’s Restaurants

I went to Fridays yesterday for lunch. is it possible they could just serve a hamburger or a chicken sandwich? Why does everything have to have a cute name and some sort of sauce or marinade on it.

Just give me a hamburger and fries or a good french dip sandwich and I will be happy.

Racing on a Thursday

NASCAR actually had racing today. The Gatorade 150′s were held in Daytona today. Gordon and little Busch won the two races.

You combine NASCAR with the fact, Paula Creamer is playing golf today, for the first time in months and it almost feels like Spring. Creamer is even through 17 holes and 6 strokes back.

Bar Refaeli is a great choice

After doing extensive research our findings are in. Bar Refaeli is a great choice for Sports Illustrated cover girl on their latest Swim Suit edition. She ranks up there with Kathy Ireland and Marisa Miller as our favorites.

We must however make one critique. SI refers to her as a “cover girl” and after studying her pictures from every angle, we must point out, she looks all woman to us.

A special thanks to Leo DiCaprio for sharing her with us. It was really more than we would of done in his place.

If you haven’t seen this years Sports Illustrated Swimsuit edition it is a must read. You will find several great articles and feature stories on athletics. At least that’s what we tell our wives when ours is delivered every year.

“Really Hon’ there are pictures of women in half bikinis too? We didn’t notice. Now that you mention it – that’s not Tom Brady on the cover”.

So for the sake of being updated on sports and putting a smile on your face, get out and get your copy today, before all 66 million covers of Bar Refaeli are sold out.
